Our Program
Explore the inclusive, educational, fun, and enriching variety of activities your child will take part in during their time at Westwood Kids Castle Childcare. Our goal is to make learning fun and to foster an environment where children can expand on their independent and collaborative curiosity and exploration.
Creative Arts and Crafts
Activities like painting, drawing, and gluing refine your child's fine motor skills and creativity. This will also include engaging in seasonal crafts from time to time.

Music and Movement
Skills in rhythm, coordination, and collaboration among children will be fostered by singing songs, dancing, and playing simple instruments. Additionally, sing-alongs will encourage children to work on a variety of movements and gestures.

Outdoor Play and Physical Activity
Physical activity is vital to developing gross motor skills in young children and we will ensure this is heavily incorporated in your child's day to day schedule. Furthermore, spending time outdoors allows children to become comfortable in the natural environment early on in their development.
Circle Time
During this time, children will gather to become familiar with their schedule of the day, discuss their thoughts and emotions, and learn about colors, shapes, letters, and numbers in an engaging and collaborative way.

Storytime and Reading
It is essential for children to listen to stories in order to build strong language skills and imagination. Interactive reading with questions and discussions will be highly valued - as well as access to books during free time to encourage independent reading.
Games, Puzzles, and Building Play
An endless collection of toys, blocks, puzzles, and other games will be widely available to children in order to strengthen their cognitive skills, teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and spatial awareness. It is incredibly important that children are given the liberty to build, learn, and challenge themselves.
Dramatic and Pretend Play
Children will engage in pretend play with costumes, dolls, and kitchen sets to help develop their social and communication skills. Free reigns to use their imagination and connect with others will allow the children to learn about their interests, about their peers, and have fun in the process.
Sensory Activities
Being given the opportunity to explore textures and different objects will amplify tactile learning, stimulate children's senses, and enhance creativity. Children can work hands-on with rice, beans, water, sand, playdough, or engage in finger painting in order to familiarize themselves with a variety of new textures.
