About Us
Westwood Kids Castle Childcare is a fully licensed group childcare and learning center in the Coquitlam area for children under 36 months of age. The center is committed to providing learning programs that are welcoming, fun, exciting, and stimulating in a warm and nurturing environment. The center has made a commitment to offer quality childcare services to all families in the community. We encourage children to follow their interests, do active exploration, and develop at their own pace. It is our goal to help children learn to share, be helpful to others, and be responsible and independent. We value the diversity and cultural beliefs of all families and maintain a respectful, supportive relationship with them. We encourage families to fully participate in our program by sharing their ideas, cultures, traditions, and stories with us.
Our Philosophy
In our center, we believe in providing a flexible program and respecting each child's individuality and development. Children are strong and competent and we can learn a lot from watching and listening to them. The goal of our center is partnership with families in caring for their children. We believe that a secure, nurturing environment promotes well-being and respectful relationships, and we encourage lots of interaction between children and adult educators, as well as between children of different ages. Every child is a unique individual with his/her own capabilities. Our role as educators is to foster the fundamentals of character building among children, including: teamwork, kindness, honesty, citizenship, responsibility, and respect. Manager & Primary Instructor
Arezoo Kompani
Arezoo Kompani, our primary instructor and manager, has over 15 years of experience working with children - particularly those under 36 months of age. Holding college and university degrees in teaching, she has specialized expertise in Early Childhood Education (ECE), focusing on Infant Toddler Education (ITE) and Special Needs Education (SNE). Her extensive experience and passion for nurturing young minds is foundational to the philosophies held by Westwood Kids Castle Childcare.
